SNAKE PLISSKEN

1981. Call him Snake. Cynical and street-tough, he wades through the nightmare of urban decay taking over the cities of the future. An ex-soldier turned outlaw turned folk hero, Plissken's slow easy style belies the fierce energy driving him. Snake first appeared in John Carpenter's movie Escape From New York (1981). Kurt Russell is the ultimate gunfighter-loner in an overcrowded morass. The city of Manhattan has a wall surrounding it, and is a federal penitentiary. The second film, Escape from LA (1996), takes place sixteen years later. Outside forces, internal revolution, and a breakdown of law enforcement threaten the United States. Got a smoke?
